What is Drop Stitch?

Drop Stitch is a new cutting-edge technology which involves the use of thousand of high-tensile threads that connect the top and bottom layers of the inflatable kayaks. These threads are evenly spaced and create a network of interconnected-chambers within the structure significantly enhancing the overall durability. When air is added allowing to inflate with much higher pressure then the average inflatable, these threads become tight which then creates a sturdy flat surface. Without these air chambers, standing on an inflatable would not be easy. The reinforced structure helps prevents punctures and tears making inflatable kayaks more resistant to wear and tear as well as more stability, durability, and rigidity. Drop Stitch technology also enhances performance just like hard shell kayaks.

When deflated, they can be rolled up into a small package making them easier to transport and for small space storage.

Finally, this new advancement in the kayak industry has made inflatable kayaks more of a popular choice.

What is full drop stitch?

As described above, using the specialized construction involving thousands of inter-connecting threads creating a high pressure inflatable chamber which allows for more durability, the drop stitch extends to the floors, sides and deck of the kayak. This then allows the kayak to perform and give the same experience as a hard shell kayak.
